Position Overview

Raytheon Technologies has been at the forefront of solving the world's toughest challenges for over 100 years. Our Effector RF Products division designs RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters for radar and datalink applications. These products support tactical missile programs, often in extreme environments. The role will require working on cutting-edge technologies while ensuring the highest standards of design and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop transmitters, receivers, or exciters for RF/Microwave hardware.
• Create circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab environment to characterize components and verify module integration.
• Perform schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g., power, digital, mechanical).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in RF design, fabrication, test, and troubleshooting.
• Skills:
• Expertise in RF design and fabrication, including simulation of RF products.
• Familiarity with tools like Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, SystemVue, Genesys, and ADS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications We Prefer

• Leadership Experience: Mentoring less-senior engineers, technical oversight, and leading complex projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Architecting and defining requirements for complex RF products.
• Experience in cascade analysis, filter design, CCAs, and hybrid RF technologies.
• Familiarity with high-speed data converter test and high-power RF design.
• Scripting experience in Matlab or Python.
• Additional Skills:
• Experience in manufacturability and cost analysis.
• Background in subsystem integration and related test experience.
