As part of the Flight Avionics Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future by pushing the boundaries of innovation and collaborating with a diverse team of colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interconnect models by collaborating with subsystem owners, capturing system designs, and informing cable and electrical performance parameters.
• Conduct integration and validation of electronics.
• Analyze hardware designs and influence architecture development/refinement.
• Develop and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Prepare and present technical designs, peer reviews, and engineering review packages to stakeholders, management, and government customers.
• Manage and align interconnect model details with program lifecycle requirements.
• Utilize lab instrumentation and test equipment for hardware validation.
• Collaborate with subsystem engineers, mechanical harness design teams, and system architects.
• Conduct peer reviews and align teams during meetings regarding model status.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (or equivalent advanced degrees substituting for experience: Master’s = 2 years, Ph.D. = 4 years).
• Hands-on experience with electrical hardware development and/or testing.
• Experience in systems engineering, including requirements development and validation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications We Value

• Background in missile guidance electronics subsystems, including antennas, RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards, and configurable logic.
• Experience in RF applications, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal electronics and system engineering practices.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier commitments.
• Familiarity with the DoD hardware development process, design gates, and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
• Practical experience across the full product development lifecycle.
• Proposal development and technical leadership capabilities.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in schematic capture tools like Mentor Capital or similar.
• Experience with system block diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and harness schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical interface parameters, connectors, wires, and grounding/shielding topics.
• Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces, power distribution, and signal integrity.
• Practical knowledge of MATLAB, Python, or similar scripting languages.

Work Environment

• Primarily office and lab environments, with occasional fieldwork.
• Assignments may include travel, including international travel.
