Key Responsibilities

  • Foster relationships to acquire new clients through a range of face-to-face and virtual approaches, including residential outreach, business networking, referrals, social media engagement, and public speaking appearances.
  • Build trust more effectively and formulate customized, holistic strategies by truly understanding the needs, priorities, and concerns of clients and prospective clients in order to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Monitor branch processes, functions, and responsibilities to ensure a first-rate and well-coordinated client interaction following firm protocols, regulatory mandates, and ethical guidelines.
  • Partner with the branch team to create, monitor, and adapt the branch's operational plan to enhance branch effectiveness and achieve the desired business results.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment in the branch based on trust, respect, ongoing feedback, and a strong sense of accountability shared by all team members.

Benefits:

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to financial advisors. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account and flexible spending account. Financial advisors enjoy flexibility in their schedule and, where required by applicable law, are eligible for paid sick leave and paid time off. Financial advisors may be eligible for bonuses; profit sharing; paid medical and parental leave for Financial Advisors that satisfy eligibility requirements; and participation in the firm's Travel Award Program. Compensation:

Acknowledging the time and commitment needed to establish a business, we have introduced a fresh financial advisor compensation plan. This program is designed to provide support and recognition as you learn the necessary skills, systems, and business practices essential for success within our client-first business model. The updated financial advisor compensation plan includes trainee pay, supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets gathered during the first five years.

Skills/Requirements

To qualify, applicants need to possess a minimum of one of the four qualifications listed in the bullets below:

  • Preference is given to individuals with a bachelor's degree, or those with relevant work experience in the securities/financial services industry
  • Familiarity with financial services and sales is a key requirement
  • The official recognition or approval required for offering financial services
  • Moving up the career ladder in a professional or military capacity requires dedication, skill development, and a strong work ethic

Licensing:

  • SIE (which can be obtained without Firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 will be required; if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned paid study period.
  • Within a stipulated three-month period, individuals are expected to procure FINRA registrations and state insurance licenses.
  • Regular completion of training sessions conducted by the company and regulatory agencies like FINRA and the SEC, alongside mandatory continuing education stipulations, is imperative for associates to preserve the currency of their licenses.
